Moreover, the economic benefits of Cultural Tourism often flow disproportionately to foreign investors and multinational companies, replicating colonial patterns, while local people - whose lives and stories are being showcased - see little return. 

True Cultural Tourism should be collaborative, not extractive and definitely not support postcolonial structures.
